The Conditions.

Deviations from the Conditions are only valid if both parties have prior agreement; i.e. delayed lead times stated on quotations or special delivery instructions noted on the customers purchase order (PO). The use of the ordered product(s) is not permitted unless the customer accepts the Conditions in full prior to purchase.

Import tax & duties/International orders.
At this present time Servo Automation Ltd ships to all international locations. However, from time to time Servo Automation Ltd may be unable to provide shipping to your location for reasons out of our control i.e. international sanctions that may restrict couriers to delivery from our location to yours, or import laws that reject the product(s) at the point of import. Shipping laws vary in each country and so it is your responsibility to check with your customs office to verify whether the country to which you are shipping permits the shipment of your product(s). Servo Automation Ltd holds no responsibility for the refusal of your product(s) at import. The risk of loss and title for the product(s) ordered on this website pass to you when the product(s) is collected by the shipping courier. All orders we dispatch are sent using a tracked & signed for service.
For insurance purposes we declare the actual cost you have paid for the item on all paperwork and invoices. It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay any charges relating to the import of goods into your country, which may include import/custom tax, courier administration fees and/or duties. Such charges are the responsibility of the recipient of your order and will vary from country to country. It may be possible to estimate these charges by contacting the courier and/or your countries import/export government department prior to ordering. Under no circumstances do we accept responsibility/liability for local taxes and/or customs duties that may be payable upon delivery or prior to the release of your goods. It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with these requirements. If you are required to pay for any of the aforementioned fees related to import tax before the release of your order this will cause a delay in receiving your order. Please note if you decide against paying these fees and the order is returned, from the refund we will charge you a handling fee of 20% plus the cost of the original postage cost and any costs we may incur due to the returned order.
Servo Automation Ltd is not responsible for any direct, indirect, punitive, or consequential damages that arise from improper international shipping practices. Please be aware that Goods may be inspected on arrival at port for customs purposes and Servo Automation Ltd gives no guarantee that the packaging of the Goods will be free of signs of tampering.
Have Not Yet Received Order?
Firstly, do not panic! As stated all services we use are tracked and insured to the value of the contents. An order may be delayed for several reasons such as the following;
Missing or delayed order: Delivery times stated are only estimated unless a special OR guaranteed service has been purchased. Numerous issues including political, weather conditions and peak postage times of the year may affect courier services. If you believe your order(s) have been lost or delayed, please contact us and we will make the appropriate investigations. We only use tracked services and we take photos of the packed product(s) prior to dispatch which will also help in the highly unlikely event a claim is required for loss of postage.
Item temporarily out of stock or purchased using ‘backorder’: This website uses a backorder setting that allows customers to purchase our product(s) even if we are currently out of stock. Any order on the website that can be successfully completed via the checkout (cleared funds) means with the odd exception we can supply. If the product(s) you plan to order states the amount currently in stock i.e. 'There are only x items left in stock', this means the product(s) is in stock and ready for dispatch. However, some product(s) allow you to order more then the current stock levels. If this occurs or the customer has purchased a product(s) currently on backorder the customer will be notified at the point of cleared funds and providing we expect to receive this stock from our supplier within a reasonable time frame we will honour this order and dispatch as soon as stock is available.
If we expect any excessive delays (i.e. 7+ working days before dispatch) we will contact the customer immediately to hopefully find an alternative solution. The reason we can only contact you at the point of cleared funds from website orders is until this point we have no means of contacting the customer or website visitor (please refer back to our Privacy Policy). If you order multiple products or more then one of a certain product but only part of the order is ready for dispatch Servo Automation Ltd may dispatch part of your order and fulfil the remaining order once we have restocked.
We encourage all website visitors and prospective customers to get in contact and check current stock levels or lead times prior to purchase.
Item unavailable: If an item suddenly becomes unavailable or is discontinued by the supplier or manufacturer, which means we are unexpectedly unable to fulfil your order, we will immediately contact you. If we are unable to fulfil your order or offer a suitable alternative then we will issue an immediate refund if your payment has already been processed. This is highly unlikely as we try to maintain stocked up on all items we offer for sale to avoid such issues arising. However, as stated above under 'Terms of Use' we reserve the right to cancel orders or information displayed may contains errors, i.e. incorrect quantity of stock, or incorrect model codes.
Payment declined or not received: If we cannot process payment for any reason, we will contact you to let you know. If we are unable to contact you or you are slow to solve payment issues this will hold up your order being processed and dispatched. We always ask for a landline and mobile number, along with a current email address to avoid potential contact issues.
The Product(s).
Used: The product(s) is previously used with the history unknown. The product(s) may carry some minor cosmetic wear but nothing that will affect the use unless stated. The product(s) is tested and in working condition prior to dispatch. The product(s) has 30days warranty or can be extended to 3 months for an extra fee, agreed by the parties prior to the exchange of contracts.
Refurbished: The product(s) is previously used with the history unknown. The product(s) may carry some minor cosmetic wear but nothing that will affect the use. However, unlike a used product, a refurbished product may have undergone some upgrading of worn parts or undergone repairs. The product(s) has 3 months warranty or can be extended to 6 months for an extra fee, agreed by the parties prior to the exchange of contracts.
New Old Stock (NOS): This can refer to a variety of meanings. Each time this description is used on the website it will state what this means specifically to the product(s) being displayed. Firstly it means the product(s) has not been previously installed or energised in a working installation. It may mean the manufacturer has discontinued production of the product(s). It may mean the packaging has been opened to inspect the product(s). Any sealed packets may have also been opened. Original manufacturers packaging or documentation might be missing. The original manufacturers packaging may be slightly storage worn. Should for example the product(s) packaging be opened, or without original packaging or a discontinued we may complete necessary tests to ensure the product(s) is working correctly. For example it is not uncommon for batteries within some of the products we offer to lose charge if they have been unused for several years even though they have not been installed. NOS warranty is identical to new stock warranty; read below.
New Stock: Sealed internal packaging unless stated. The main box may in some cases have been opened to perform a visual inspection of the product(s) again this will be stated. Warranty is 12 months and in most cases held with Servo Automation Ltd, and not the original manufacturer. However, in some cases if the manufacturers or suppliers warranty is still valid Servo Automation Ltd will opt to use this as the primary cover and act on behalf of the customer. So once Servo Automation Ltd has received the returned product(s) back and done an initial visual inspection checking for broken warranty seals and correct serial numbers, the product(s) will then be returned to the original supplier or manufacturer for assessment.
Warranties & Returns.
Please ALSO refer to our detailed Warranty and Returns Policy page.
Servo Automation Ltd ensures all products dispatched, if the product(s) is new they are fully inspected, and if they are used or refurbished they are tested to our best ability prior to dispatch. We can also guarantee appropriate secure packaging which implements the use of anti-static bags and/or wraps where required. We use a variety of product identification methods depending on the product(s) to help us identify our products including; serial number logging, discrete UV pen marking, barcoded and serial numbered tamper proof security labels, serial security tags and pictures of the product(s) prior to dispatch. Furthermore, we also take photos of the packed product(s) prior to dispatch, which will be stored if in the unlikely event a claim is required regarding loss or damage caused while in transit.
*Please note warranty and returns will be void instantly if any of our identification methods mentioned above are removed or tampered with, i.e. the removal of labels.
In accordance to the UK distance selling law the customer has the right to cancel their order within a maximum of 14 working days from the delivery date without providing a valid reason. If you wish to exercise this right you will firstly need to notify us in writing of your desire to return the item within the 14 working days from the delivery date. The product(s) should be returned within 7 working days from the written return request being filed (although exceptions will be noted for international customers). The return fee is the responsibility of the customer.
If you do decide to cancel your order within the 14 working days, the product(s) should be returned in the exact same condition it was dispatched including all packaging and documentation, for assessment and inspection. If the product(s) you purchased were new and in sealed packaging (box or internal anti-static bags) these packets must remain sealed otherwise the customer will be liable for a handling fee & charge. Again as noted above return products will be checked to ensure they have not been tampered with or swapped. Any signs of tampering or if the product(s) have been swapped will result in the appropriate approach, i.e. refusal of return, excessive handling fees, and if required legal proceedings. If we are happy with the returned product(s) a refund will be sent within 7 working days minus the original cost to post the product(s) to the customer. A receipt of this cost will be sent to the customer.
If we receive no communication from you within 14 working days of delivery, regarding any problems with the product(s) or you simply wish to cancel the order you are deemed to have received the product(s) in full working order and with no problems.
If the product(s) ordered arrives defective you should contact us at your earliest convenience or within 14 days to arrange a return. The product(s) must be returned in their original condition with all packaging, documentation and our product identifications not tampered with. Upon receipt of the returned part(s) they will be inspected and if we are unable to repair or replace the part(s) then the price of the product(s), as paid, will be refunded through the payment method used when the product(s) were purchased. We will not accept returns for defective product(s) if the customer has took it upon themselves to investigate the issue and subsequently break any warranty labels to open the product(s) up. If any part(s) develop faults within their warranty period, you are entitled to a repair or replacement under the terms of the warranty specific to that product(s) agreed upon before the exchange of contracts.
No refund will be issued after 30 days from date of purchase. It should be noted that warranty periods will depend on the product(s) condition the customer has purchased; used, refurbished, new old stock & new products all carry different warranties and warranty lengths. Products returned under warranty are also subject to assessments relating to the customers end of the contract in ensuring they follow use and maintenance procedures of the product(s) and the purchase product(s) was fit for purpose. Warranties will be invalid should it be deemed the customer has not followed the guides of the warranty specific to their product(s) or the incorrect product(s) was purchased resulting in damage during installing or use.
Regardless of the reasons for return the responsibility of the returning product(s) lies with the buyer until we have received the product(s) safely. Hence we always ask the returning product(s) to be sufficiently packed, only recommend the customer using a tracked service and provide us with the tracking information once dispatch. The returned carriage costs will be refunded if the fault was our responsibility. Proof of returned carriage costs will be required.
Parts advertised for ‘spares & repairs’ are sold with no warranty and are not covered in our returns policy. Servo Automation Ltd cannot provide any guarantees regarding the longevity of any product(s) for sale. Servo Automation Ltd is also not responsible for any potential issues that may arise from the supplier or manufacturer such as product recalls. it is the responsibility of the customer to stay updated with manufacturer updates directly related to the product(s) they have purchased.
